It seems that the current plugins are cooperating. the previous posts will most likely remain for future reference in case things get strange again. For me, at least, the site still loads much faster than the older host. Even logged in, which is set to not perform any caching, it loads faster than the previous host rendering a cached version. Hopefully I won’t be comparing my current host and the one I left because they didn’t want to upgrade PHP or the database software. Concerning the old host and their database software, I did get an email Friday where they were so proud of updating their database software. I was more interested in them upgrading PHP, but I’m very happy here.
Coming soon should be some “real” content where I share my faith as a Christian and share my amateurish photography and electronics hobbies. I’m not going to talk about politics as you can find every extreme on the subject on Facebook and many, many, many (you get the idea…people have too much time for politics and only know what they think they know about politics) other online places. You likely will see posts on weather phenomenon etc.
I’m still undecided about bringing the legacy HTML site back, much of it is missing as I deleted some files before backing them up. If there is enough interest, I may reopen a forum to cover what is covered here. I spent time looking at more CMS apps, and they all seem to be blogging software under different names.
Once I get the site/blog up to speed, I’m opening up comments. You will need to register and log in to comment. The means of doing so will be obvious so you won’t have to hunt around. This blog is meant to be family friendly and comments will be expected to reflect this.
The Featured Image is of a turtle that crosses my land in Virginia every spring to lay eggs. I’ve seen her for over 30 years! It is interesting that her passage varies widely in time. I’ve seen her as early as February, and as late as the middle of March. There are smaller ones now that make the same trek to lay eggs.
