Flushed with Success!

Well, literally….. Today was my port flush at the cancer center. Everything went well. The “heart rhythm” is in honor of my Holter Monitor results. I officially have AFib. The 14 days of wearing the monitor definitely gave them a lot abnormal beats to review. I have a followup with my general cardiologist in a week or so and one with the electrophysiologist. That’s a specialist that could be thought of as the heart’s electrician. Hopefully the AFib can be controlled by medication and lifestyle change. The lifestyle change consists of avoiding sweets and dropping caffeine from my diet. That’s gonna be hard!

On a different note: I now have a macro flash for my camera. It is the ring style that circles the lens. It has two flash tubes that are independently controllable. Plus it supports wireless as a master or slave flash. I looked closely at a dual-head unit that supports up to four heads, but I’ve used the ring style flash before and was used to it. I’ve played around with it, but am not ready to share any pictures yet. Hopefully soon!
