Yep, as of around 4 PM on Tuesday, March 3, Downdetector has been confirming what many people have been experiencing…. Facebook down! People have been posting to Downdetector from one area, then another, as the problem seems to not happened everywhere at once. Actually, I noticed it down on my Windows computer an hour or so before my Linux laptop computer browser began having issues. So far, as I’m writing this post, my wife’s iPad’s Facebook app is behaving itself. I’m not able to see comments on my Samsung S22 Ultra.
Here’s the hard, cold truth!
Honestly, Facebook hiccups now and then, and may be back by the time I publish this post. As of about 5:25 PM, the numbers of people reporting Facebook as down for them has doubled from when I took this screenshot.
Not saying it will get worse…read the post.
You can imagine all sorts of theories are flying around about now! Who knows, maybe housekeeping unplugged something important so the vacuum cleaner could be plugged in. Just kidding!!! (I hope) At least it got me to post something! L0L
Seriously, if you are getting that error message in the featured image, you are not alone. Facebook has a lot going on, so when things are fixed, it may take time to fully recover just as the problem has not hit every area at once. Be patient! Remember civilization has made it just fine before Facebook! It will be back.
