I didn’t have my Nikon with me while my wife and I were sitting on our front porch, thankfully I had my phone, a Samsung 22S Ultra. We keep five bird feeders stocked with bird seed. They use the burning bush as their gathering spot while deciding to swoop down to the feeders and the ground underneath. I noticed that they were all sitting in the bush like flowers! These, I believe, are sparrows. Cardinals gather in a nearby maple tree as their gathering point and doves gather in yet another tree.
We’ve noticed quite a few adolescent cardinals and doves lately.
Being that the camera on the phone isn’t as good as my Nikon D850, the results still weren’t too bad. My wife’s iPhone won’t zoom clearly to take pictures like this. It does fine for fairly closeups and whatever its “native” zoom is, however. Somewhere I have some pictures of the burning bush loaded with birds waiting I took with my D850 and hopefully I’ll find them.
It is a real treat sitting outside when it’s comfortable watching the birds and squirrels. It had been too hot to enjoy sitting outside, and hopefully cold weather will delay its arrival!
