I deleted another plugin that refused to remember cache settings. It offered other features I liked, but when it did what it wanted in the way of caching pictures, it was time to get rid of it. All day yesterday after I set it to not cache or optimize pictures, the site loaded fine in all browsers I tried and three operating systems. This morning, pictures missed loading at random and I found it had turned all its optimizing features back on! Other plugins will cover the features, just not under the same dashboard.I used them separately before, so there’s no issue there.
If the site acts up again, you’ll know why. It will likely be a several day trek seeing if things settle down again. There are several caches around the Internet that will have to eventually clear. Just because it works fine for me may not mean that it works fine in a different country – or even another state.
Just to give a waypoint, I have disabled all the cache I know of from the various settings areas I have access to. I have a plugin ready to activate once I think it is time to test again.
