I just noticed LibreOffice has a major update coming, hopefully Around February 2026. It is in beta 1 stage right now. The release version will be 26.2 if I read correctly. Over the years, I’ve been very impressed with Open Office and the LibreOffice fork. It has been able to get things done that Microsoft Office couldn’t do (of course, MS Office has had a few features the open source alternatives could not do, too).

Here at N3MTJ-land, I use open source software as much as possible, simply because I like it better than proprietary software. I post process photos mostly equally, as each way can do things better than the other, but open source is gaining. Certain ham radio programs only are available for Windows, but where I can use open source, it works much better! Maybe one day, I’ll go into better detail.
Picture of my buddy Rubber for attention!
