Severe weather moved in fast yesterday evening. We were fortunate with trees down all over the place around us, we only had leaves and small branches down. Our next door neighbor had workers working all afternoon chipping trees and parts of trees that were on the ground. They also had their front porch torn off. My wife and I prayed that God would protect us, and He did!
Our power was out from 5PM yesterday until almost noon today. The photo attached to this post shows only one reason our power was out, crooked poles and downed wires stretched as far as I could see from the driveway.
The actual storm lasted maybe 15 minutes, but it made up for being short by being destructive! There was a line that stretched from below Indiana to well into the Great Lakes. RADAR showed a very thin line, but it was purple for its entire length.
The timeout from not having power helped a little in providing time to figure out how I want to set up the return of this site. As always, things will likely change (and get broken) with no notice as I try different things!
