Mount St. Helens
Here is the most current VolcanoCam image from the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument:

Their server may be having issues, or undergoing maintenance if you are reading this instead of looking at the picture.

Note: The mountain will only be visible during hours of daylight in Washington State! The picture quality will degrade as it gets darker. You may also see things like bugs crawling on the lens. Please note, too, that the camera is at a high elevation (approx 4,000 feet) and will often have low clouds blocking the view, so you may only see gray a large percentage of the time!!

The observatory is not occupied full time, so if the camera or link goes on the blink during inclimate weather, they may have to wait for the road to be cleared before they can fix the problem.

The picture is updated every five minutes,or so, use your "Refresh" button for the latest. If the mountain begins doing anything interesting, their server will be very busy, so be patient!

For more information please visit the Observatory.
